All over Europe we have different varieties to choose from when it comes to drinking tea. Fruit teas, herbal teas, green tea, black tea, rooibos, white tea, red tea and blue tea can be found in bulk or in bags. In addition, there are many exotic and speciality teas.<\/p>\n

It is often said that bulk tea is much better than bagged tea. We must bear in mind that the worst quality teas are those that we find on the supermarket shelves.   • Bulk tea is harvested by hand<\/strong>while bagged tea is picked up by a machine<\/strong> who cuts up the whole plant and crushes it, so that it fits better in the sachet.<\/li>\n
  • Bulk tea, as it is hand-picked, retains all of its properties,<\/strong> as there are no mechanised production processes to interfere with them.<\/li>\n
  • Some companies add a large amount of artificial flavours<\/strong>The sachets give off a fantastic smell when we open them, and even permeate our supermarket bags.<\/li>\n
  • Bulk tea is so much more colourful and beautiful.<\/strong> The pickers use the most beautiful leaves for bulk tea, while they leave the broken leaves or those that have started to powder for tea bags, as they know they will be ground and mixed with other elements.<\/li>\n
  • The tea bags are single-use<\/strong>. However, bulk tea leaves can be infused more than once. At La Buena Tierra we do not recommend this practice at all, as it loses much of its flavour and aroma, and will lose some properties.
